In memory of

Apolonia Helena Wilski

September 15, 1926 -  November 11, 2021

Passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Zbigniew. Loving mother to Christopher (Pauline) and Richard. Cherished grandmother to Lisa and Jonathon (Annalisa) and great grandmother to Travis, Mia, James and Michael.

Born in Leszno, Poland on September 15, 1926. Apolonia was a young girl when the Nazi’s invaded Poland in 1939. Apolonia was 13 Years old when she ran from home as her school was being bombed only to witness many atrocities before she was placed in a work camp until the war was over. She was able to go to Manchester, England where she married Zbigniew Wilski October 14, 1950 and had their first Child Christopher on November 29, 1951. The family emigrated from England to Toronto, Canada in 1955 and worked hard at many jobs trying to make ends meet. Their second son Richard was born March 15, 1957. They moved to Brampton in 1975-76 where they made their permanent home where her husband Zbigniew still resides.
Apolonia was a hard worker cleaning houses and caring for her family. She was always upbeat and was the life of any party. She was a tough woman but also very kind and generous with a beautiful heart and always had a smile. In her spare time she loved to cook and was wonderful at it. She made friends very easily and always welcomed everyone into her home.

Our family truly loved her very much and she will be remembered forever.

Pola cleaned my parents' home for many years and became a treasured friend to my parents and to me. She was always singing, always cheerful. My mother said "Mrs. Wilski is the boss of the house" and my father said "Mrs. Wilski is 100% wool." She was warm, kind and generous and I know that her family loved her dearly and will miss her very much. My most sincere condolences to the Wilski family.

Chris, Pauline & Family ... so sorry to hear of your mom's passing … I know she hasn’t been well for a long time … but the way you and your father took care of her … continued to make time for her … showed what a truly loving family she created ... and that will last always and forever … and Chris, I am sure that in her moments of clarity it must have meant so much to her to know she had raised such a good son … please take care Chris and know that Lotus and I are thinking of you and your family … Tony
