It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonios Paraschos.

He passed away peacefully in hospital on August 17, 2022 at the age of 95. He joins his beloved late wife, Maria, and late sons Christos and John in heaven.

He is survived by his daughters-in-law Sultana (Christos) and Evelyn (John) and grandchildren Maria, Fotini and Ioanna.

Antonios was born in Agio Pnevma, Greece on May 10, 1927. After a challenging tour in the army during the Greek civil war he married his school sweetheart Maria and started his family. He worked tirelessly as a farmer to build a new home for them but when circumstances in Greece became untenable he courageously emigrated with his family in 1958 to build a better life in Canada.

With force of will and resolve he worked 2 jobs until he was able to achieve the stability and security he sought for his family.

Antonios’ devotion to his family will be very dearly missed but he is now reunited with his departed family and at peace.
