Antonio Kalsatos

May 23, 1925 -  June 1, 2015

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the age of 92. Born in Kos, Greece. Antonio survived the German invasion and promptly enlisted in the army, where he proudly served until the end of WWII. In 1967 he moved his family to Canada for a better life. He has been a proud Canadian for 50 years, happily calling Toronto home. He loved gadgets and to tinker and started computing in his 80s. A man of dignity and honour and much loved by his friends and family. Predeceased by Sofia, his loving wife of 68 years. Loving father of Kalliopi (Bob), Alex (Evelyn), Rulla (Rick), Theo (Kontessa) and Gus (Stella). Much loved grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 5. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) for visitation on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Demitrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr.). Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
