A memorable lady. Her wit was matched by her warmth. She was kind, funny and the heart of her family. She will be missed.
Sending Mark, Mary, and the whole family heartfelt condolences on the passing of Aunt Toni. A beloved family friend for many years ever since I was a baby, I will always remember the wonderful Boxing Day dinners Aunt Toni hosted when we were welcomed with good food, excellent company, and much laughter. We were always greeted with a big hug and a beautiful smile. Aunt Toni was the source of many happy childhood memories and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
I only met her once, at dinner, and I could tell within the first ten seconds what a lovely person she was.
Toni will be greatly missed. I especially remember very fondly the Thanksgiving dinners at the Silcoxes during my doctoral studies in Toronto, and how welcoming and warm Toni and Peter were. This touch of kindness stays in one's heart. My deepest condolences to Mary, Mark, and family.
Toni and I first met at Pre-natal class and were probably the only people in the room not taking it all seriously enough.
Next encounter took place when Toni saw me carrying my first born and waiting for the bus which would transport me through snow to the heady delights of a connection to Toronto.Being the kind hearted person that she was I was given a kitchen chair to sit on and an invitation to coffee sometime.
From then on we enjoyed a friendship punctuated by laughter and the occasional glass of sherry.
It was always a pleasure to be welcomed to the Silcox house with the red door on Homelands Drive.
Lovely memories of Toni and her family to cherish.
