It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Yip on January 13, 2024 in Hamilton at age 71. He leaves behind his loving wife Ivy Yip of 40+ years. Cherished father to Betty and Alex (Shirley). Adored brother of Thomas (Teresa). He will be missed by many extended family and friends.

As a child, he was academically gifted and attended the famous La Salle high school, and eventually went on to graduate from Hong Kong University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He then later married his wife, Ivy Yip. He immigrated to Canada with his wife and young child and later had his second child.

Anthony was proud to have designed the heat pump system installed at the hospital in Kitchener, ON.

Outside of his career, he loved listening to music. He enjoyed designing things, making furniture as well as soldering electronics. He was fond of playing games, such as solitaire, Tetris, minesweeper, and bejeweled.
