In memory of

Anthony (Tony) Nolan

February 21, 1953 -  July 6, 2024

Anthony (Tony) Nolan passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on July 6, 2024, at the age of 71, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital Ontario. Born on February 21, 1953, in Freshwater, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, Tony was the fourth of ten children and raised in an extremely, close loving family. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy, his mother, Helen Nolan, his father, James Nolan, his sister, Cynthia, his daughter, Karen, and his brothers-in-law, Bill Collins and Scott Anderson.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Cassandra (Rory), and his son, Daniel. He also leaves behind his siblings Judy, Daphne, Shirley (Larry), Sharon (Tony), Harold (Carm), Darlene (Jim), Juanita (Rob), Jim (Linda), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, and very close friends.

A man of warmth and wisdom, Tony was known for his comforting presence and his reassuring words, "Everything is going to be alright." He was a devoted son, father, brother and treasured friend to many along with many special cousins and aunties. Tony's hobbies included camping and fishing, and he cherished time spent with his family and friends at his trailer by the river in Pridham’s Park. Here, weekends were filled with the sounds of laughter, good music, guitar playing, and sing-alongs to his favourite Newfoundland tunes.

No matter how busy things got, he always made time for the people he cared about and showed us that family comes first. - no matter what. Everyone who knew him knew how proud he was of the people he loved.

Special thanks and appreciation to the caring and supportive doctors and nurses on the 2nd floor care unit at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Hospital.

The services will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery, located at 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough on Friday July 12, 2024 Visitation from 1:00pm - 2:00pm Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00pm. Tony's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as a man who embraced every moment with love and generosity.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be much appreciated.

We are sorry to learn of Tony s passing. I was fortunate enough to be in his company a few years back when Bill passed away and his wife was in a home.

Very sweet mild mannered man who I felt instantly comfortable with.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you mourn the passing of your brother and celebrate his life. Blessings!

Dear Judy and all the Nolan family,
Sending our love and condolences across the miles. May you find comfort and peace at this time. Tony was a very friendly and good-natured soul, much like his father Jim. Bless you all in the days ahead.
