Anthony Jude Smith age 71, passed away unexpectedly Monday August 24. Anthony was born October 12, 1948 to Gerrard and Winifred Smith in Chorley England and was the oldest of the 3 sons. He met the love of his life Barbara and married December 9, 1972. In 1973 a new adventure began with the move to Canada. Knowing it would be hard without the family support they made some good friends that became family along the way. Making their roots in Mississauga and having 2 daughters who had their own families. Anthony is survived by his loving Wife Barbara, Daughters Victoria and Andrea, Son-in Law Andre. Brothers Michael and Brendan, Sister in Law Ruth, Sister-In Law Pauline Phillips and predeceased by his Brother-in-Law Barry Phillips. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Mason, Joshua, Victor, and Laryssa. We would like to thank the paramedics who worked endlessly in his final moments and the staff at Credit Valley Emergency Department. Funeral Mass to be held at St Joseph’s Church, Streetsville. (5440 Durie Rd, Mississauga), on Saturday September 12, 2020 @ 10.30 a.m. Due to Covid there will not be a reception following. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Tony was a wonderful man with a great sense of humour. He has been a dear family friend since forever. He loved his family dearly and we all have wonderful memories that will keep him in our hearts. Sending love and condolences to Barb, Vicky, Andrea and all his family. XOX
