In memory of

Anne Marie Koras

September 19, 1957 -  August 14, 2022

Anne Marie Koras was a kind and caring soul. The mother of three, she dedicated her life to ensuring her family was safe, happy, and loved. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Anne passed away peacefully on August 14, 2022.

Anne was born to Patricia and Edward Raines on September 19, 1957. She was married to George Koras on June 15, 1980. Together, they had three children: Chris, Michael, and Olivia. Anne proudly became a grandmother on August 20, 2021, to George Koras.

Anne approached everything in life with the highest level of dedication and care. Whether it was helping grow several business organizations, driving her children from one hockey or soccer practice to the next, or spending quality time with her husband and family, Anne did everything with a contagious amount of warmth and passion. She loved the simple things in life and had an uncanny ability to find happiness and appreciation in her daily activities. Her pure goodness will live on in those who were lucky enough to know her.

Anne my beautiful, gentle, kind, loving sister….I will speak for David and I…as children you were our anchor, your kind, gentle presence made us feel safe, and loved. As a young adult I have beautiful memories of times spent with you, and your family. Although in later years we didn’t live in the same city.. Our communication via letters back and forth over the years are a beautiful testament of the love and care we shared As sisters. I will treasure these with all of my heart for the rest of my days..

Though we need to weep your loss,
You dwell in that safe place in our hearts,
Where no storm or night or pain can reach you,
Let us not look for you only in memory,
Where we would grow lonely without you,
You would want us to find you in presence,
Beside us when beauty brightens,
When kindness glows,
And music echoes eternal tones.
