March 18, 2022
Anna passed away in Etobicoke at the Dorothy Ley Hospice while surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was 63 years old.
Anna was the sixth child of nine, born in Halifax to the late Walter and “Liz” Brooks. While living in Nova Scotia, Anna was a member of the Victoria Road Baptist Church where she was baptized. After moving to Toronto, she dedicated her time to her children and grandchildren. She was a loyal friend, some of her relationships dating back to grade school. Anna was diagnosed with Lupus in her early forties. Living with Lupus would pose great challenges but she was tough enough to live it! Anna was a free-spirit whose “no filter” wit and sarcasm made dealing with the toughest moments a little easier. Laughter was surely her medicine! Anna's faith has sheltered her through many storms and throughout her life journey, Gods merciful love has always been evident.
