In memory of

Anna Bolejszo

August 17, 1932 -  September 8, 2023

BOLEJSZO, Anna (August 17, 1932 – September 8, 2023) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family in her 91st year. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Predeceased by her husband Kazimierz Bolejszo, her parents Wladyslaw and Malwina Sierbin, her son Czeslaw and daughter-in-law Stanislawa. Sister of Piotr Sierbin and Regina Porowska. Mother of Czeslaw (Maryla), Henryk (Stefania), Tadeusz (Stanislawa, Anna) and Edyta (Andrzej), grandmother of Alicja, Robert, Monika (Dan), Christopher, Karina (Filip), Claudia (Nik), Paulina, Olivia, and great grandmother of Hannah, Jacob, Amelia and Lilianna.

Born in Poland, Anna's family was forcefully relocated to Siberia in 1940, where they survived for 6 years. At the end of World War 2, her father arranged for the family to escape and return to Poland. They arrived in Szczecin and soon moved to Walcz, where Anna spent most of her adult life.

Anna married her husband, Kazimierz, in August 1954. Anna worked as a tradeswoman and travelled all over Europe, most frequently between Budapest and Walcz. After her husband passed in 1980, Anna continued to work to support her family. She immigrated to Canada in 1994 to help raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anna had an extremely sharp wit, a great sense of humor and memory. She loved to meet new people, and was known for her ability to have meaningful conversations with strangers irregardless of any language barriers. She loved her faith, family and friends.

She will be dearly missed, and never forgotten.
