With great sadness, we announce the passing of loving mother Ann Stevenson in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late William STEVENSON of 64 years and loving mother of Jane (Jim) Bruce of Collingwood, Ontario, James (Taylor) Stevenson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jennifer (Scott) Lecky of Williamstown, Ontario. Ann died peacefully on July 31, 2023 at her Leaside home. Born in Toronto to Grace and George Stevenson, Ann was raised on the family dairy farm on Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, by her mother and grandparents. Ann is predeceased by her brother Murray. Ann graduated from U of T Phys-Ed class of ’58 (one of 7 women in the class). Ann Stevenson met Bill Stevenson at the renowned U of T Hart House, they married shortly after and had 3 children. Ann loved her tennis at the Leaside Tennis Club which in later years turned into afternoon tea with the tennis ladies. Ann enjoyed gardening at their hobby farm, skiing in Vermont, cottaging at the Lake of Bays and styling/furnishing weekend homes (Cranberry Interiors). Ann loved being a grandmother to Sarah, Michael, Laura, Taylor, Brooks, Grace, William and Ally and great-grandmother to 5. Ann’s calming and loving disposition was enjoyed by all. A special thanks to Jonalyn and Florence for their endless care and kindness. A private family service will be held at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.
