In memory of

Anita Maude Sayers

March 5, 1941 -  August 14, 2023

Anita Maude Sayers (nee Kinnen) – Anita, aged 82, was born 5 March 1941, in Belfast, Northern Ireland and died peacefully on 14 August 2023. Anita was the wife of the late Ronald Sayers. She is survived by her children, Karen & Bruce Secord, Steven Sayers, Michael & Tracey Sayers, and Gail Sayers; her grandchildren Ryan & Melissa Secord, Jason Secord, Ethan & Carly Sayers, Matthew Sayers, Brenden Sayers and Connor Sayers; her great-granddaughter, Madyson Secord; her sister Barbara Phillips; her brother Esmond Kinnen; her sister-in-law Rachel West, and her “best boy” Gus. Anita came from Ireland as a young woman in 1960. She lived a full and happy life in Toronto, and later with Mike, Tracey and their family in Ajax. Anita loved her adopted country of Canada but remained a proud, strong Irishwoman. She was a lover of parties, singing and dancing, and a big fan of hockey, baseball and golf. Anita was also very proud of her long career at Eaton’s. Most of all, Anita took great joy in watching her family expand and grow – attending their many games and competitions, school events, graduations, life celebrations and weddings. She loved, and was deeply loved in return by her many friends and family members. Anita will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
