In memory of

Angelo Nunno

February 11, 1932 -  April 26, 2020

It is with great sorrow that we are announcing the passing of our beloved Angelo Nunno.

Angelo passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a brief illness at the age of 88. Devoted husband, loving father, and adoring Nonno, Bisnono, he was survived by his beloved wife and partner of over 65 years, Teresa (nee Boccardi), children, Piera (Garry), Tony (Sarah), grandchildren Kristina (Kyle), Lisa, Caroline, Grace, and great grandchildren, Emma and Charlotte.

Angelo, born in Bovino, Italy, enjoyed spending the month of August attending the annual event “la festa”. He lived his life to the fullest and prided himself on always looking his best. If there was a dance floor, he was sure to be on it. Meeting him, he spoke openly and generously as he could make any stranger or old friend feel at ease with his charisma and quick witted humour.

His talents ranged from wine making, renovating the homes of his children, and for the weekly family meals, he liked to arrive first at the local bakery so he could have the best choice for the perfectly uniformed loaf of freshly baked bread. He loved all of Teresa’s cooking.

Second to “his lovely wife” and family were sports. Angelo would analyze and debate on teams, games, players, and stats with his countless friends and family. Best soccer team AC Milan “number one!” other favourites watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, Formula One Racing, and delighted in all things Ferrari.

He will be remembered as charming, outgoing, comical, tender, and expressively just a wonderful man.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Angelo Nunno be directed to Diabetes Canada

I will miss you Angelo! You were so full of life and had such positive, fun energy. Over the many years of knowing you, since I was a child,I witnessed you be a wonderful husband, father and grandfather to your loved ones. I know that they will miss you dearly, but I also know that you will always be with them. Guiding them, protecting them and still present for every milestone in spirit.

Love,
