In memory of

Angelo Karolidis

July 25, 1934 -  March 18, 2022

It is with great fondness that we remember the life of Angelo Karolidis; husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend to all. Angelo was born in Greece on July 25, 1934, the second of three brothers. He sought a life of opportunity and economic safety, and with his family moved across the Atlantic to Canada; and a proud Canadian citizen he was. Angelo wed his wife, Nicky, in 1957, and had two beautiful children, Fany and John. Owning a restaurant with his brothers, Angelo became a pillar to the community of Georgetown, Ontario. His joyful nature, his booming laughter, and his gentle demeanor gave him the nickname of ‘the ambassador to the world’ ; life is always great, everything is copacetic! A family man, he raised his children with love and compassion, and welcomed any and all to a seat around his family table. Angelo retired at the young age of 48, where he could enjoy the fruits of his labor, and soon help raise his only grandchild, Emily. He was loved by everyone he met, and made an impression on the lives of many. No problem is ever too big, no laugh can ever be too long, and no life cannot properly be lived, unless lived with a smile.

Goodbye, pinecone. May we continue to honour your life with lessons of grace, of benevolence, of optimism.

On behalf of my wife (Miriam) and 2 children (Joshua and Julia), sending our condolences to the Karolidis family at this time. Uncle Andy, as I remember him, was kind, gentle, funny and always greeted us with a warm smile from ear to ear. My dad, George Kotsopoulos, along with my extended family, will truly miss Uncle Andy. My dad always spoke highly of Andy, enjoyed his company and will miss him dearly. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage and love at this time of sorrow. Our hearts go out to you at this difficult time.
