Angelina Damianidis

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 94. Angelina, beloved wife of the late Nick Damianidis (married in January 1951). Greatly missed by her sons Steve (Mary), Tom (Lefa); grandchildren Angie, Nicholas (Wendy), Chris (Anne), Jon (Sharon), Nicole, Michael and great-grandchildren Xavier, Madeleine, Nico, Hannah, William, Christian, Catherine, Isabella and Anastasia. Angelina is survived by her brothers Sarantis (Stavroula) and Panayoti (Maria) in Greece. Predeceased by her parents Kostantinos and Thomaitsa Lovatsis, brothers Stavros, Yoanni; sisters Kyratsa, Irene and Olga. Angelina will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Angelina along with her two sons immigrated to Canada in 1956 to join her husband Nick. Over the years and until retirement in 1993, Angelina assisted her husband Nick in operating the various family restaurant businesses. Her daytime and most demanding job was taking care of her grandchildren. For many years Angelina enjoyed her outings, meeting up with friends and relatives at various coffee places, parks and farms. She was the absolute best at baking buns, pizza, pita and Easter bread. She especially enjoyed 3 o’clock coffee time with her grandchildren.

Baba, we will miss you so much. After 13 years living together, there will be a void in our house. Our hearts ache and our tears weep with sorrow. We were the fortunate ones who were blessed with your caring soul, support, feistiness, love and devotion to her family. We enjoyed our time together making pita, pizza's and tsoureki. I will cherish and never forget the Damianidis family get togethers with Baba and Dedo. May your fiery spirit live inside us all and may you Rest In Peace. After 15 years, I know Dedo will be happy to hear your "A-breah Niko, breah Niko" once again. Say hi to Dedo for us all. Anastasia, Isabella, Sharon and I love you and will always keep you close to our hearts and our memories. Love, Jonathan

Well, what can be said about a woman who raised our three kids. Such a strong and strong-willed woman, loving and caring, super woman as we referred to her as. You were certainly an excellent role model. The compassion that exudes from your entire family is something to be proud of. We will miss you, love you forever Mom.
