Andrew Scott Smith

January 30, 1967 -  January 29, 2024

Andrew died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on January 29 2024, 1 day before his 57th birthday. Andrew was a devoted spouse, loving father, beloved “Old Man” to his grandbabies, cherished friend, comic book afficionado and overall badass.

He is survived by his wife Patricia-Ann their children Samantha, Harley Dawn, Shale (Ashley), Adam (Sydney), Lucas and Logan. As well, as his grandchildren Hailey, Rayna, Kailyn, Erik, Katie, Beau and Elias.

Andrew was a longtime employee for over 33 years at Griffith Foods, well respected by his peers, loved for his kind, protective and no-nonsense attitude.

There will be a graveside ceremony held at Duffin Meadows Cemetery located at 2505 Brock Rd N Pickering ON L1X 0K3 on February 5th 2024 at 10:00am.

Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 112 located at 117 Byron St S Whitby ON L1N 4P5 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that you make an appointment to donate blood, or a monetary donation can be made to the Canadian Blood services in his honour.

Causal dress is preferred, however no hats, tank tops or shorts as event is being held at the legion. Family has requested attendees can sport favourite superhero, Star Trek or Star Wars t-shirt.

Andrew was very good in his job and was a great team player . He was always polite , flexible and helpful . I am going to miss him . May his soul rest in peace .
