In memory of

Andrew "Andreas" Galanis

November 5, 1930 -  May 4, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew “Andreas” Galanis on May 4th, 2022 at the age of 91. He was surrounded by his loving wife Dena of 63 years and his loving children Katerina “Kathy” (Jim), Kosta “Gus” (Dina). Devoted grandfather of Francine, Andreas, Deanna (Fiancé Lucas), Eleftheria and Dimitri. Survived by his brother Ilias (Martha) and predeceased by brothers Dimitri (Georgia), Panagioti, Vasili and sisters Marina and Christitsa and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

You made life greater for everyone who crossed your path because of your loving character and infectious smile. We will always cherish you and carry on your legacy forever. Your legacy is a life well lived and a family that knew real love. We love you forever and we will miss you so very much.

May your memory be forever eternal. Rest In Peace dear dad. We will always hold you close in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (30 Thorncliffe Park Drive) in his memory.

Oh Pappou… how much we love you. Our hearts are absolutely aching right now, nothing feels real. Thank you for everything you’ve taught us, done for us and given us. Most importantly, your unconditional love, every single day. You’d give the shirt off your back for the ones you loved, you didn't do anything halfway, you worked hard, and loved fiercely. You made life greater for anyone who crossed your path, because of your loving character and infectious smile. Thank you for all the stories, all the memories, laughs and amazing childhood you gave us all. We will cherish you and carry on your legacy forever. Your legacy is a life well lived and a family that knew real love. We love you forever Pappou and we will miss you so very much till we are back in your loving arms. This is not a goodbye, this is a see you later.

Rest In Peace our beautiful angel ❤️🙏🏼 May your memory be forever eternal.
