In Loving Memory of ANDREA ELIZABETH (VAJK) VINCENT (nee ENGEL)
February 19, 1925 (Budapest, Hungary) - July 30, 2023 (Toronto, Canada)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrea on July 30, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born on in Budapest, Hungary, immigrating with her husband and young son to Canada in 1957. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.

Andrea was preceded in death by her beloved husband Peter Thomas (Vajk) Vincen after 55 years of happy marriage, in 1999. Their love was a beacon of strength and devotion, and their legacy of love lives on in the hearts of all who knew them.

She leaves behind her devoted son, Peter Paul Vincent, and his partner, Agnes Finna, who brought immense joy to her life. Andrea's heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren; Tom, Vicki, and Johnathan, who were a source of pride and happiness. They, in turn, were blessed with loving partners Sheila (Tom), Craig (Vicki), and Pippa (Johnathan)—who became an integral part of her family.

Her love and nurturing extended to her great-grandchildren, Brayden & Jackson (Tom & Sheila), Harrison & Berk (Vicki & Craig), and Benjamin, Oliver & Amelie (Johnathan). Andrea cherished each precious moment with them, passing down her wisdom, family stories and love to the next generation and beyond. She truly lived the family motto of “Add tovabb” meaning “Pass it on”.

Andrea's spirit was forever captivated by the majestic beauty of the alps. She often spoke of the profound peace she found in their towering peaks and the tranquility of their valleys. Just as the alps stand strong and enduring, so did Andrea in the face of life's challenges.

In celebration of Andrea's extraordinary life, a Celebration of Life will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (375 Mount Pleasant Rd.) on September 2, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

As we remember Andrea with love and gratitude, let us find solace in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Peter, in a place where their love knows no boundaries. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Rest in peace, dear Andrea/Anyu/ Nagymama/Dédimama your love will forever shine upon us.
