In memory of

André Francis "Andy" Goveia

Passed away suddenly at The Scarborough Hospital on Saturday, December 8th, 2018. Strong in his Catholic faith until his final breath.

Loving and devoted husband of 36 years to Barbara. Selfless and compassionate father to Benedicta and son-in-law, Dean Hiler. Forever cherished and loved by his large family, especially his siblings: Terence (Jeanette), Neil (Bridget), David, Margaret (Michael), Thérèse (Ian), and all their children. Fondly remembered in a special way by his cousin Tony, best friend Cosmas, and co-workers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018 at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough). Funeral Mass will be at noon on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at St. Lawrence Martyr Roman Catholic Church (2210 Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough). Interment at Pine Hills immediately followed by reception in St. Lawrence Parish hall. To celebrate André's extraordinary life, donations to St. Lawrence Martyr Roman Catholic Church and/or the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Benedicta,
Please accept my sincere sympathies, as well as my deepest condolences to you and to your family upon the passing of your loved Dad.

It is never easy to lose a parent. I pray for your peace and comfort as you continue your life journey without your Dad's earthly presence.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.

Rest in peace André Francis.

I worked with Andy at Station "T" for many years. I last saw him at one of our yearly station luncheons.

He spoke of his wife and daughter with such love.

All of us who worked with Andy will feel the loss of this kind and decent man.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
