i was proud to call Andy my friend. We worked together for many years in various depts. A huge passion in Andy's life was dance - and I was glad to have been a part of that for awhile - it was the best time I ever had. I had an award made special for Andy for being a great teacher. We watched and commented on various TV dance shows and news of the day. Andy had a great passion also for jade and gave it away to his friends on many occasions. Andy was the best configuration analyst and would always explain his answers if you did not understand. He will be missed. During Aristotle's time they did not write obituaries - only 1 question was asked: "did he have passion?" I can say that Andy had passion. Dance with the angels my friend

He will be missed. His dancing was his greatest passion. He was always willing to teach you new steps, right there at the office! Always a showman. Now he's pain free. Rest in Peace.

Although we weren't that close, his passing has hit hard and left a big hole.
When we were young in Montreal , and i was a lonely kid, he was my friend
taking me to a local park and pitching me baseballs while i'd pretend to
be one of my favorite Expos.
He also cooked some wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey dinners.
HIs honesty, loyalty and willingness to fight for the weaker and wronged
are some of the traits of his character i most respect and hope to emulate.
Goodbye Andy, i hope heaven has some good hiking trails

Andy Brakmanis was a truly wonderfull person to know and to have as a co-worker. Another boomer taken away too early for his time. On occasion prior to his leaving Bombardier, I did ask him what he might do. Andy mentioned that he would continue to pursue ballroom dancing, open a small school or teaching privately would be a possibility in retirement.
Honest, logical, generous were his best traits. Andy.....you are missed by your second family at dH. I will miss you ......you are in a better place now, goodbye my friend, peace, love and tranquility.
