With sadness the family announces his passing on December 26, 2017 at East General Hospital, ending a 13 month battle with cancer. Allen was predeceased by his wife Sharon (nee Theobald), parents Arthur and Louise (nee Missaubie), step-mother Williamina (Jocko, nee McKay), and brother Arthur. Allen devoted his life to his wife Sharon and was proud to call “The Beach” their home. He was respected by the community for his achievements as an Electrician for Unilever and The City of Toronto. The family he leaves behind will miss his eagerness to travel, “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”. Arizona for warm adventures with his sister Margaret and brother-in-law Michael Thoman, and nephew Scot VanZant. Vancouver for Christmas celebrations with daughter Sherri-Beth and son-in-law Scott Mortell. The GTA for family get-togethers with brother Alfred, sister-in-law Pamela Simon, and nephews Jesse and Tyler. Etobicoke for dinners with his niece Michele Lane and her family. The family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
