It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Ross Smith, in his 85th year. Peacefully at home after a brief battle with cancer. Loving husband of Bernice (nee Sobolewski), Beloved father to son David and wife Laurie, and his daughter Kerry. Cherished grandpa of Madelaine, Rebecca, and Julianna. Allan will be fondly remembered by his sister Kim ( Dave Lamond), their children Stefanie ( Victor) and Tim ( Rachelle), and his brother in law Ed Sobolewski ( Betty) and their children Heather and Mark.

Allan was a proud Canadian and passionate educator of over 35 years who understood and loved his country. Upon retirement in 1995, he and his wife/best friend of over 60 years enjoyed their extensive travels and time together. A life long music lover, Allan ( aka: Cool Daddy Smith) listened to and collected records his entire life. He shared his interest and enthusiasm of rock and roll and music through his many online internet radio programmes at Rock-it Radio.

Family and friends can be received at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, on Thursday December 12th, 2024 from 10am to 1145 am. Internment to follow at 12noon.
