In memory of

Alkistis Rizoulis

August 31, 1952 -  January 19, 2025

It is with great sadness that the family of Alkisti (Liza) Rizoulis announces her passing on January 19, 2025, at the age of 72, at Wexford Long Term Care, surrounded by her loved ones.

Alkisti was born in 1952, in Larissa, Greece. She immigrated to Canada as a teenager, where she later married her husband, Evangelos. Throughout her life, Alkisti was known for her warmth and kindness. A talented hairdresser, she also found joy in baking and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She had a special love for travel, particularly visiting their summer home in Greece, and her deep faith in God was a cornerstone of her life.

Alkisti was predeceased by her parents, Dimitrios and Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Evangelos; her children, Fay (Kostas), Georgia (George), and Dimitri (Yahssel); her grandchildren, Stavroula, Alkisti, and Matthew; as well as her siblings, Paul (Joanne) and Frances (Late Mike).

Alkistis' legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is now in God’s hands. May she rest in peace.

Liza extended nothing but warmth and kindness to me. I enjoyed our lighthearted discussions at family gatherings and deeply appreciated her acceptance of me as a member of the family. While my heart is heavy at Liza's passing, as a Christian, I know this is not the end. To quote the great English professor and Christian apologist, C.S. Lewis, "I shan't say goodbye. We'll meet again."
