In memory of

Alice Joan Greenham

August 31, 1956 -  September 20, 2022

On Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 11:30pm at Credit Valley Hospital, a beautiful soul gained her wings.
Alice Greenham was born August 31st, 1956 in Grandfalls Newfoundland, to her parents Doris and Andrew Saunders. After a beautiful life and a courageous battle with cancer for 2 years, Alice passed peacefully in the night held by 5 of her sisters.

Alice Married Carl on July 25, 1980, they have started a lasting legacy with 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Alice loved her family more than anything in the world, from her husband, daughters, grandchildren, parents, siblings, nieces and nephew's to distant relatives. She was caring, loyal, smart, funny, courageous, gracious, and the life of any party. She was always in her element, playing Cards or games as they call them at night with her family and friends laughing the whole night. Making room for everyone around the table for Dinner, Whether it be a special occasion or a wednesday night (sometimes upto 20 people or more). Organizing events or taking control and keeping the fun going from Bingo nights, bocce ball and horseshoe tournaments, golf competitions and Christmas in July at the Trailer, to Family Christmas reunions and events throughout the year in the co-op.
Her partner and true love, will miss her every minute for the rest of his life. As her Daughters we were privileged and blessed to have been able to call her mom and learn from her. Her lessons of goodwill, graciousness and an open door are attributes that feel normal and constant to us. There will be an unfillable void in our hearts that will live with all of us forever.

Alice is survived by her husband Carl, Daughters - Samantha (Grandchildren - Zachary, Daniel, Logan), Peggy-Sue (Son-in-law -Daniel, Grandchildren - Finley, Audrey, Atticus).

'An Angel'
An angel lived among us, a gift from God above.
She showered us with Kindness, and shared with us her love.
She cherished every moment, With the man who was her life;
Walking hand in Hand together, Facing life with all its Strife.
She loved her children dearly, Each one a different way.
Nestled close within her heart, Though, now, she's far away.
She's gone to live with Jesus, But, she's here with us today.
Smiling down on every one of us, And telling us she's OK.

Uncle Carl, Peggy Sue, Carter, Samantha and Grandchildren, I am so so sorry for the loss of beloved Aunt Alice: your wife, mother and grandmother.

Aunt Ally had the light of life that everyone loved, she was so pure, she loved everyone equally and treated everyone like her own. We all know she was the life of any party and that she knew how to carry on and have such a good time and so so many laughs. Even in her most recent trip to Newfoundland this summer which was her wish before she passed, she carried on with us all as if life was normal and nothing was wrong because that’s just who she was and how strong she fought.

I hope you find the strength and courage to get through this hard time. Know that you have a whole family that love each and every one of you and are here for you at anytime of any day.

Rest peacefully my beautiful Auntie.

Much Love,
Natasha,Perry, Carrie and Wesley
