Alfred passed away peacefully at Baycrest Health Sciences, on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016, at age 89. Beloved husband of Olive Wallace Pester, loving father of Iain and Andrew, and devoted grandfather of Matilda. Alfred immigrated to Canada in 1952 and enjoyed a long, rewarding career at Tremco Ltd. He loved exploring the Canadian backcountry, windsurfing, cross country skiing and hiking. He will be dearly missed by family and friends. In keeping with Alfred’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, on Friday, December 16th, 2016. Visitation at 1:30 p.m., and service at 2:30 p.m.. A celebration of Alfred’s life will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North York Harvest Food Bank would be appreciated.
