In memory of

Alfred King

March 13, 1946 -  July 25, 2025

"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from evil to come"
Isaiah 57:1

Alfred Kwashie King (aka "Sepavi") was born on March 13, 1946 to parents Christian Adjei King of Dzelukope - Keta and Anna Adzo King (nee Amenuvor) of Tegbui. He grew up in a loving and caring household with most of his siblings, cousins & other extended family members, which shaped him into the family-oriented person we most dearly remember him to be.

Alfred had a typical childhood growing up in Dzelukope, always seen wearing a smile on his face, affable with a good sense of humor, being supportive and expressing genuine care to those who he held most dear to his heart.

Alfred started his primary education at Dzelukope Roman Catholic School in the year of 1952.

He completed and passed his middle school leaving and receiving his certificate in 1962. He enrolled at Keta secondary School for his higher education (1962). However, after two years, he moved to Kpando Secondary School because of his flair for technical subjects which he completed in 1969 and was poised to take advantage of every opportunity that came his way to achieve his ambitions.

Upon completion of his secondary education, he was employed by Ghana Railway Corporation as a Technician. He took various courses to improve his skill. He worked with the Corporation from 1969 to 1972. and joined Ghana Aluminum Company (VALCO) until August 1st, 1975. He left the shores of Ghana for greener pastures in Canada on September 5th, 1975 where he worked as a welder until 2009.

He left us unexpectedly on July 25th, 2025 at the age of 79 in Brampton Civic hospital in Brampton, Ontario.

He is survived by his wife, brother, 5 children, 2 daughters-in-law, 6 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and close friends. He was greatly loved by many and will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
