Passed away after a short illness on Monday, December 4th, 2017 at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Alta. Loving husband of Barb. Beloved brother of June (Hank Lawson-predeceased) and the late Betty (Eugene Higgins). Cherished uncle of nieces Nancy, Pat (Kevin) and nephews Jim (Donna), Tom (Debbie) and Jerry (Maggie). Dear brother-in-law of Joan (Alvin McFarlane – predeceased). Alf will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many other family members and friends. A memorial reception will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 between 1 pm – 3 at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787.
