Peacefully called to God on Saturday, October 1st at the age of 87. He will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 70 years, Fani (nee Zolis). Loving father to Sofia and her husband Mark. Adoring Dedo to Simon and Michael.
Alex was a hard working and proud man whose generosity and love touched many. He loved his garden and homemade wine and enjoyed sharing his bounty with his friends and family.
An honourable Veteran of both the Greek and Canadian Army, he remained strong until the end.
Visitors are welcome at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd. on Wednesday, October 5th from 4-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6th at 11am at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave. E. Interment to follow at York Cemetery. Lunch will follow at Flippers Restaurant 2300 Lawrence Ave. E.
