It is with heavy hearts, and recognition of a life well lived that we announce the passing of Alexandre Konstantinov Kovatchev, surrounded by his children at the age of 92.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years Gabriele , loving father of Alexander (Jennifer), Ursula (Dylan) and Nyden (Amanda) and grandfather to Cavan, Nicolas, Meara and Gwyneth. He will be missed by all who knew him.

This avid lover of good food, sports and travel was unlikely to turn down a game of backgammon, or a chance to discuss the recent standings in the world of tennis, soccer, hockey or basketball.

Born in Sofia Bulgaria he journeyed for a four year professional contract to Algeria then France and finally to Canada where he made his new life and family.

He was a respected structural engineer, working well into his late 80's on some of the most significant developments with Kaneff Properties and eventually under his own consulting Alco Engineering.

Funeral service and celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday December 17th at 16:30hrs at
St Dimitar Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church.1555 Steels Ave W. Brampton, on. L6Y 5J9
