In memory of

Alexandre "Sasha" Ioudine

February 25, 1990 -  April 27, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexandre Ioudine, beloved son of Serguei and Natalia, cherished brother of Ivan and Barbra, and loving partner of Kristi.

Known affectionately as Sasha, he passed away at the age of 34, surrounded by his family on April 27, 2024. In May of 2023, Sasha was diagnosed with stage 4 gastric signet ring cell adenocarcinoma and was given three months to live. Sasha did not lose hope and fought until his body could take no more. His extraordinary strength, his will to live, and his resilience in the face of the great suffering that he endured extended his life beyond the expectations of the many doctors that were treating him and became an inspiration to his loved ones.

Sasha's presence radiated joy and warmth to all who knew him. As a nurse, he touched countless lives with his kindness and compassion. His joyful demeanour and positive attitude endeared him to everyone he met.

Though Sasha's time with us was too short, his legacy of love and compassion will endure. He leaves behind loving parents, a dear brother, a loving partner and countless friends and colleagues who were touched by his light.

In lieu of flowers, donations to cancer research in Sasha's memory are appreciated. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life.

May Sasha rest in peace, knowing his love and light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

Sasha's family thanks Kristi Moroz, Simon and Amy Ho, Anton Kulik and Ayda Agha, Sandy Tung, Shelly Tam and many others for the incredible support that they have shown Sasha throughout his illness.

Alex is funny and easy to work with. I remember him calling me boss when i got back from matleave and I had to grill him about his love life and he was graciously responding to my questions with a smile. We are very sad and heartbroken. I told him I will be praying for his battles so he wins.
Rest well my friend❤️
