Dodic, Alexandra “Sasha”

With great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Alexandra “Sasha” Dodic at North York General Hospital on the afternoon of December 12, 2024. Sasha was born on June 24, 1934, in Bosanski Petrovac, Serbia. She was the beloved wife of Radisav, who passed in 2006, loving mother to sons Alexander(Olga) and Andrew. She was cherished “Baka” to grandchildren Sophia and Nicholas, and aunt “Teta” to Paul Bilbija (Monica), Michael and Alexander Rajic, Peter (Mary), Mark (Danielle), John and Tracy Bilbija, Nick Banks, and Julia (Glenn) Van Heukolum and their children and beloved sister in law Senka.

Sasha was predeceased by parents Anatoly and Angelina, sisters Mirjana and Dushanka, brothers Dragoljub and Dushan and sisters-in-law Jovanka and Joan.

Friends may pay respects/visit her on December 21, from 11AM to 12PM at the York Funeral Center, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, ON, M2N 5Z5. The visitation will be followed by a Funeral service at 12PM, and internment to follow at 1PM.

Dear Andrew and Alex and family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.
She was such an incredible woman who I always identified with. Her love of life was infectious and will be greatly missed. I loved that at my parents’ 50th - she started the kolo dance and had the old group hopping.

Teta Sasha was a lovely lady and always told the best stories over coffee and tea. She was a fantastic, loyal friend to our grandma, Borka, and will be very missed.

Our sincerest condolences goes out to the entire Dodic and Bilbija families. Teta Shasha was a wonderful women and very charitable. She donated a lot of her time with her involvement in the Serbian community and at the St. Sava Church in Toronto.
