I was in Mr. McNaught’s grade 4 class 20 years ago and still remember him to be my favourite teacher to this day. He really cared for his students as well as the whole Fatima community. He was such a kind and caring person who invested so much of his time to the school, I can remember being apart of the recorder club and can still remember how to play many of the songs taught to me today. I want to send out my condolences to his family and close friends and hope you can find some comfort at this difficult time knowing that Mr. McNaught touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten!
I met Alex through Scouting and feel privileged to have known him. He made such a contribution to others as a Teacher and Scouter. My condolences to Marion and the family.
Dear Marion and Mc Naught Family, my sincere sympathy for your loss. The loss of a gentle, kind, giving, talented teacher and colleague, is a shock. The end of our school years are wonderful memories left behind of Alex playing the bagpipes and escorting us all out for summer vacation. The many lyrics to songs he wrote to honour retired teachers, morning running club, recorder club and more, are examples of a man who had a lot of love for the teaching profession even after many years of retirement. He will be greatly missed at Our Lady of Fatima school. May God rest his soul. Lots of love, Rita Faraci and family 🙏🏻💕
Alex will be very missed by so many members of the Our Lady of Fatima School community. Those of us that had the pleasure of teaching with Alex knew his positive and inquisitive nature. He will be greatly missed. We will miss his pipes at the end of our school year. His spirit will always be in our school. My thoughts are with Marion and family during this time. Our students prayers this week will surround Alex with good thoughts.
