Alexander "Al" Clarke Smith

September 18, 1950 - September 23, 2024

Al passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, of colon cancer at the age of 74. Al was the beloved husband of Colleen Smith (nee Hishon); and loving father of Jessica and Mark Smith. Al will be dearly missed by his siblings, Janet (Russ), Gail (Cam), and Peter. Al was a devoted car enthusiast, and friend to many.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Simple Alternative, 1057 Brock Rd., Pickering, from 5 to 8 p.m. If desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SHN.

Dear Colleen, Jessica and Mark,
We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and we offer condolences and support during this difficult time. Al was a kind, caring and friendly person and the best neighbour we have ever had. We will cherish the happy times in the backyard, at special family events, and the daily catch up in the front yard. He will be greatly missed by our family and the neighborhood community.
