In memory of

Alex Lobo

April 4, 1935 -  July 2, 2024

Alex Lobo passed away peacefully on 2 July 2024 at the age of 89, at Seniors’ Health Centre in North York. His thoughtfulness, politeness, good manners, and humour touched many hearts during his long adventurous life. He was esteemed by his wonderful healthcare staff, popular among his fellow residents, loved by his family and friends, and quick to leave a lasting impression on strangers he met along the way.

Born 4 April 1935 in Tanga, Tanzania, Isidore Walter Alex Lobo emigrated to the United Kingdom in 1958 and then to Toronto, Canada, in 1968. He was a devoted husband to Guity, a loving father to Julius, Stephen, and Andrew, a proud father-in-law to Kathryn, and a doting grandpa to Maxwell and Scout.

A beloved son to the late Sanch Michael and the late Angelica, he was also a cherished brother to the late George, the late Jimmy, the late Tessie, the late Juliana, Mary, Annie, Victor, the late Denis, and Wendy, as well as a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada, the US, the UK, and India.

He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to spend time with him.
