In Memory of Our Beloved Father
Alex (Aleko) Hatzis

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, Alex who peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at North York General, surrounded by his family.

Alex was born in Klidi Florina, Greece, on July 3rd, 1935, the son of Kostandinos and Fanna Hatzis. He resided in Greece until the age of 32, at which point he immigrated to Canada in 1967 followed by his wife and 3 children.

Alex lived a happy life and always made his family his first priority. Forever remembered as a devoted husband to his loving wife Helen for 66 years. Great father to his children Patsy, George (Jane) & Jim.
Cherished Dedo to his 4 grandchildren Sarah (Dino) Chris (Kara) Michael (Lisa) & Jameson.
Treasured Great-Dedo to his 5 great-grandchildren Alexia, Isabella, Iyla, Zoe & Aleena.
He was pre-deceased by siblings: Ioannis (John), Andraniki, Aspassia, Jerry, Tomas and Georgina.

The family would like to thank Alex's support workers Trina, Kathy & Micka and the staff at the Wexford Nursing Home, especially Neisha for their outstanding care and support they have provided.

The Family will receive visitors at Pine Hill Funeral Home, 625 Birchmount Rd Scarborough from 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday April 21st. Funeral service will be held at St John's Orthodox Church, 1385 Warden Avenue on Monday, April 22nd, at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alex are appreciated and can be sent to the CNIB Foundation.
