February 9, 2024
Aleksandar Simic, 81, of Brampton, Ontario passed away on February 9th, 2024 after a long battle and complications from dementia.
Aleks was born on February 13, 1942 to Miodrag and Selena Simic in Paracin, Serbia. After growing up in Kragujevac, Serbia, Alex married his beloved wife and best friend Milica Simic and left for France, then on to Austria before finally settling with his family in Toronto, Ontario.
Mr. Simic was loved by all and known fondly for his tireless work ethic. Aleks was an amazing craftsman and his incredible ability to master all trades was his superpower, but his life’s work was proudly on display at his place of business, Simic Auto Service, where he was known as a master auto mechanic for more than 50 years.
Aleksandar was a great family man and provider. He loved to spend his weekends with his wife, children, and grandchildren at the family cottage where they enjoyed boating, swimming, fishing, and relaxing by the campfire at the end of a fun filled day. He lived a full life and traveled a great deal with his family by his side and in his later years enjoyed frequent vacations to sandy beach destinations with Milica. Alex had a fun-loving spirit and was always up for a good laugh and a cold beer.
Aleksandar Simic is survived by his beloved wife, Milica Simic, son, Sasha Simic, daughter-in-law Marsha Simic, daughter Sanja Simic and grandchildren, Kristian, Stefan, Alex and Rain.
Services will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centers on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 12:00pm
