Alejo “Alex” De Garcia Ballesteros Sr. passed away on June 11th, 2022, at the age of 93. He passed away in his home in Thornhill, Ontario.

Alejo was born on January 3rd, 1929 in Silag, Sta Maria, Ilocos Sur to his parents, Eusebio Ballesteros and Ceriaca “Domingo” Ballesteros. On April 22nd, 1961, he then married Rosita Baniqued in Villanueva, Bautista, Pangasinan. He worked as a farmer in the Philippines before later coming to Canada on August 9, 1993. He then worked as a crossing guard who was loved and regarded by many children. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Alejo is survived by his spouse of 61 years Rosita and their 7 children, Samuel (married to Virginia), Edwin (married to Linda), Edgardo, Alejo Jr. (married to Charito), Charles (married to Rowena A.), Rowena, and Amelia (married to Michael); his grandchildren, Sheril, Shela (married to Renel), Michelle, Mark Jhan, Daryl, Jennifer, Alexis, Joshua, Charwen, Ethan, and Ailexa; his great-grandchildren, Sean and Ashley. He was survived by his daughter, Evelyn (married to Gilbert).

Visitation on Thursday, June 16th 10am - 2pm.
Visitation on Friday, June 17th 5pm - 9pm
Visitation on Saturday June 18th 9am - 10am
Funeral Service on Saturday June 18th at 10am
