Beloved husband of Ermioni (nee Ratsos), father of sons, Aristotle and Edward, father-in-law of Sanae Hiratsuka, and grandfather of Hana. Passed away peacefully at Humber River Hospital on September 16, 2019 after living with Dementia for a number of years. Born in Chisinau, Moldova, in what was then part of Romania, he and his family had to move to Bucharest in 1940 where he spent his youth. Eventually meeting and marrying Ermioni in 1958, the happy couple lived in Bucharest until around the time of the birth of their son Aristotle (Telly), soon after which he and Ermioni emigrated to Canada in 1969 to join the many members of Ermioni's family living in the Greek diaspora in Toronto. His other son Ed was born shortly thereafter. Educated as a land-surveyor and map-maker in Romania, he brought his skills to Toronto where he worked in his trade throughout his career, plotting the contours of topography across Canada, and in doing so, successfully providing for his family, until he retired in 1990. Despite the ravages of Dementia which overcame him in his final years, he will always be remembered as a devoted, generous, kind, and loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, friend, and colleague to the many people who knew and loved him during the long course of his life.
