In memory of

Albert Chin Sue Ying 陳瑞荣先生

July 12, 1934 -  September 19, 2023

Albert Chin Sue Ying passed away at home peacefully on September 19, 2023. He is remembered as a loving and dedicated husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Anna (Fong Keow), daughters Yvonne and Alice, and son Peter. His pride and joy were his grandsons Harrison and Eric, whom he is fondly remembered by as a doting, and comically vivacious grandfather. His extended family via his son-in-law Desmond Chen fondly remembers his childhood stories in Ying Bak's car rides to school and being teased as the 'little shorty'. Known by his friends and his community as Chin Sue or Sue Ying, his life has been a storied past having grown up in post World War II he experienced great difficulties as a child in China, eventually making his way as a young man to a new life in Trinidad W.I with his late beloved brother Chin Sue Min. His marriage to Fong Keow in Trinidad brought him 3 children - Yvonne, Peter, and Alice; and in 1977 yet another journey began with a new life in Canada. Chin Sue Ying always strived to make the best for his family, hard working he dedicated his life to a humble job at the Hilton Hotels where he proudly worked for almost 20 years before retiring; helping other friends who immigrated from Trinidad find employment along the way. At retirement, he began a more fun adventure and chapter in his life - babysitting his very young grandsons along with Fong Keow full time; and finally enjoying life. Unfortunately, life would throw another challenge to him in his 80s, developing early stage Alzheimer which eventually took him on September 19th, 2023. Throughout his entire life, with all of his challenges and hardships, he remained stalwart in his family and his responsibilities, never giving up and never listening to those who tried to put him down. His influence lives in his children, his grandchildren, and those who knew him well. He always wanted and sought material wealth for his family but he did not realize his wealth was the positive influence that he had on our lives and this legacy that he has left behind in each of us. Goodbye Daddy Jagoon, we will miss you, we love you forever and you will always be with us.
