In memory of

Alan James Wilson

February 3, 1939 -  May 3, 2022

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alan James Wilson (born 1939; age 83) on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022. Loving husband to wife Mitsuko May (nee Tanaka). Father to Jennifer (James), Jamie (Chris), and Michael (Melissa). Proud grandpa to Piper, Eliot, Dylan, Jordan and Zia. Devoted brother to Leslie. Predeceased by his father Edwin, mother Catherine, and brothers Graham and Eric.

Alan will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, the books, music and poetry he treasured and shared, his obsession with his golf swing and his love of Hawaii. He was a collector, a model railroader, a lover of science fiction literature and the dictionary. We remember all of the great family vacations, so many good times with family and friends on the golf course and his unending desire to share treats and unbirthday presents with his grandchildren. He will be missed by many extended family members and friends both in Toronto and in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland.

The family will receive guests to offer condolences at the visitation on May 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, located at 1057 Brock Rd. in Pickering. All are welcome to join a celebration of Alan’s life at the reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A private burial will take place following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Online condolences may be left at etouch.ca

May, we are so sorry to learn of Alan's passing. His lovely smile and kindness will be missed by all. Somewhere he will be perfecting his swing! We would have attended but cannot due to Maki's current health issues with a bacterial infection in his spine.

Love,
Maki and Mary

Alan and I worked at Wajax Equipment together for over 30 years. We both retired some 20 years ago and we did our very best to keep in touch and to share stories of the past and updates on our retirement lives. I will miss our long telephone conversations which I always looked forward to.
While we are unable to be with you to Celebrate Alan's Life, Nancy and I send our warmest condolences.

A kind, soft-spoken man who loved English and his trains almost as much as his family.
We will miss him terribly.

Way back when working together, always appreciated Allen’s dedication and genuine help. Great support for Gerry and anyone else that needed assistance. Enjoyed the privilege of having spent time with him. Condolences to his family and friends.
