In memory of

Alan James McCall

August 3, 1923 -  January 12, 2017

With saddened hearts and loving memories, his family announces Alan's passing on January 13, 2017 in his 94th year.

Loving husband to Betty (pre-deceased) and father to Janice (pre-deceased) and Greg, Jim and Bev, Murray, Mary and Craig. Proud Grandfather to Tracy (Barton), Melissa (Todd), Lindsay (Rob), Drew (Shaun) and Evan. Great Grandfather to: Evangeline, Victoria, Violet and Hayden.

Born August 3, 1923 in Toronto, Ontario, Alan was the eldest of 3 children - we know in our hearts that he will be welcomed with loving arms by his parents James and Margaret, his sister Joyce (Bud) and brother Robert (Bob) and all his extended family that have begun this journey before him.

Alan will be remembered by his sister-in-laws, Maryann McCall, Winnie Currie, Verna Thornbury, Lilian Argue, brother-in-law John Argue and his many nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his dear friend Joan Andreychuk.

Alan was a WWII veteran having joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a very young man. He was definitely an outdoor enthusiast, avid book reader, conversationalist extraordinaire and embraced all aspects of life.

Interment will have taken place. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life to be held at the YORK FUNERAL CENTRE, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto, ON M2N 5Z5, Tel: (416) 221-3404, on Wednesday January 18, 2017 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
