Our beloved father and husband Ahmad Amani passed away on October 2, 2024. Ahmad was a loyal and generous man who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind his wife Mahshid Amani and three daughters Golpar, Golboo and Golnesa.
Ahmad dedicated his life to his family and his community. He was a loving family man known for his commitment to bringing people together whether around a barbeque or poetry circle. His appreciation of Iranian history, poetry and culture led him to educating a generation of Iranian diaspora youth in Toronto and the GTA through various Persian schools and cultural events. He is known throughout the community for his charm, insights and advocacy.
More recently Ahmad played a major role in supporting the quality of life for his adult daughter with disabilities. He was the person who would take her to the various classes and community gatherings that brought her joy. They would spend much of the day together joking and enjoying each other’s company. His final days were spent offering loving company to his uncle at the seniors home, an uncle who was also like a father and best friend to him. Many of those who reached out with condolences shared that Ahmad filled the role of father, big brother, best friend for them. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
