In memory of

Agatha Stergianis

July 1, 1935 -  January 27, 2018

Agatha Stergianis, born July 1st, 1935 in Greece.

With her daughters holding her hands, Agatha passed away peacefully on January 27th, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Peter Stergianis, loving mother to Sofie and Afroula (Maurizio), and devoted grandmother to Nicole, Jenna, Leane and Adam.

This amazing woman will be truly missed – her unconditional love, her heartfelt laughter, her sophistication and elegance. Her presence was felt in any room, and she touched the lives of many with her kindness, nurturing and generosity. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. The love that she passed on to all of us will remain in our hearts forever. We will miss her, but feel extremely fortunate that we had HER in our lives.

Our mother will be missed by all, but somehow there is comfort in knowing that she will live on in the hearts of many. Thank You all, for being part of her life.

Family and friends may visit at York Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Rd. Toronto) on Sunday, February 4th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Monday February 5th at 10:00 am in the York Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow.

Flowers are welcome, and if desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal - Love leaves a memory no one can steal”. Forever in our hearts…….

Any loss is hard, but the loss of a parent, ones mother, definitely leaves a void. After all they are part of the reason of your existence. However, as you have very well put it, she will live on in the hearts of many. Our Sincere condolences to all of you.

I have fond memories with Thea (and Theo!), particularly in Greece. I feel lucky to have enjoyed the presence of her company in those moments. Much love.

I have many fond memories of spending evenings visiting with your whole family. May the love and the memories you have inherited from your mother give you strength as you and Afroula move forward with your own lives. There must come a little smile on your face to know that your mother is now again with your father. Their love for each other was something to be admired. God rest both their souls.

Dear Sofie, Afroula, and family,
We are thinking of you and wishing you courage during these tender days ahead.
Although we are many miles away, we will share in this time of grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I will always admire my beautiful aunt's strength and energy, and will hold all the loving memories forever in my heart.
God bless her.
With love,
Roula and Will
