TSIKARIS, Zoi – Born August 23, 1930 in Florina, Greece.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Zoi Tsikaris (nee Sfetkopoulos) on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at the age of 86. Predeceased by her loving husband, Andreas, of 53 years. Loving mother of Eleanor and her late husband Paul Tallis, Dorothy and her late husband John Rakovalis, Maple and her husband Jim Dimitry, and Tina and her husband Sotiri Vango. Proud Baba to Peter (Sonia), Andrew (Rose), Angelo (Melanie), Michael, Amanda, Laura, Jennifer (Ryan), Alexa, Anastasia, and Andrew. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Daniel, Ava, and Kaitlyn. Left to cherish her memory are her sister Mary Tsatsaris in Canada, brother and sister in Greece, and extended family and friends. Our heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at the Hellenic Home for the support, warmth, and care provided to our mother over the last two years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 4-8 pm and the Funeral Service will begin at 10 am on Monday, February 27, 2017; both taking place at the York Cemetery & Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Road).
