Zofia Siemiginowski (nee Malina), age 99, of Mississauga passed away on Sunday September 25th, 2022.

Zofia was born in Wytrzyszczka, Poland to Wawrzyniec and Katarzyna Malina on September 22nd, 1923. She married Stanislaw Siemiginowski on December 28th, 1948 in Czestochowa and remained happily married for 49 years. Zofia escaped deportation to German labour camp in March 1943, and made her way on foot home from Vienna, through deep snow in German occupied territory back to her home Wytrzyszczka, near Krakow.

Her life journey then took her to Legnica from where she followed her sons to Canada. Always near her family, she reminded all those around her to be grateful and thankful for the daily blessings they each have.

Zofia is preceded in death by her husband, and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Stanislaw (Helina) and Andrzej (Regina); grandchildren Peter (Elzbieta), Jack (Debbie), Madga, Mike (Carol), Marta (Robert) and Maria (Matt); and great-Grandchildren, Clara, Lucas, Emilia, Anthony, Daniel, Philip and Benjamin.

The visitation for Zofia will be held on Thursday September 29th from 6-9 pm at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres in Mississauga.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am on Friday September 30th at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Mississauga. Burial services will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
