1950-2016
Peacefully at home on Thursday, August 11, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Pre-deceased by parents Vera and Hugh. Survived by her loving husband Steve Dewar. Cherished mother of daughter Meghan and step-children Jamie and Shannon. Proud grandmother of Owen and Frances. Dearly missed by her sisters Sylvia, Gail and Jennifer, many nieces and nephews, and extended family members. The family would like to express their many thanks to the doctors and staff at Michael Garron Hospital and CCAC, especially nurse Beth. Family and friends will be received at PINE HILLS FUNERAL CENTRE (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough, 416-267-8229) on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 1-1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Michael Garron Hospital (Previously Toronto East General Hospital) – Oncology Department or Christie Refugee Welcome Centre would be appreciated by the family.
