In memory of

Yvonne Maud Cooper

January 4, 1935 -  December 29, 2017

Peacefully and in the company of family at Belleville General Hospital in her 83rd year. She will be greatly missed by son John, daughter-in-law Maria, brother John Jossa (Dianna), grandchildren Melissa (Caleb), Tyler (Lisa), Cole, Matthew and David, son-in-law Malcolm Myerson, and many cousins in her extended family. Yvonne was a wonderful great-grandmother to Cooper and McKenna. Predeceased by her husband John and daughter Patricia Myerson. Also missed by her many friends in Toronto and in Brighton, where she played an active role at the local Meals on Wheels, the food bank and her church, St. Paul’s Anglican. A very special thank you to Father Keith Joyce for offering prayers and support during Mom’s last few days, and the family is grateful to the doctors and nurses (especially nurses Hollie, Jessica and Kim) of Belleville Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit for their wonderful care.

Visitation at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 from 11am until time of service at 12pm. Interment to follow. Donations to the Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Association would be appreciated.

Entered January 4, 2018 from Toronto

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Yvonne. We were neighbours of Les & Ute and had the opportunity to meet Yvonne on numerous occasions, including a memorable trip to Vegas. Our memories of Yvonne were that of a cheerful, intelligent woman who could converse on many different subjects.
Our condolences to the family.
