Yun Chu Freda was born on January 10, 1942 in Hong Kong. After graduating from Maryknoll Convent School, she went on to attend Northcote College of Education. She dedicated her life to teaching and also working on educational materials for special needs students. Many students are beneficiaries of her work. She spent her retirement in U.K. & Canada.

Freda loved & cared about her children, siblings and her family members. She put others' needs before hers and she made it a mission to help & support them with all her heart.

Freda was diagnosed with late stage cancer unexpectedly in August 2021 and she passed away peacefully on September 24, 2021. By the grace of God, she didn't need to go through a long period of suffering and she is now in peace with our heavenly father.

Freda was survived by daughter Amy, son Michael and three granddaughters. The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Canada Cancer Society & Brain Cancer Research Fund.
