It is with great sadness to announce that Young Yuk Chee has passed from cancer on May 13th, 2019 at the Providence HealthCare. She will be survived by her husband, 4 children and 1 grand-daughter.

My mom really liked this famous singer - Teresa Teng. Teresa is equivalent to any big pop artist today, you can google her and find that she is still pretty famous internationally. My mom would play her songs every chance she gets. The picture on the right of my mom resembles the most to Teresa to me and Teresa's music, when I hear it, reminds me of my mom's youth. She married at age 18, had 3 kids by the age 23, the 4th at age 30 and passed at age 56. She was skinny, into fashion and jewelry, and was a romantic. She loved our dad when he doted on her and I'm glad that in her final days, he was by her side and continued to dote on her.

Her life had many obstacles but I think she tried her best. She did her best in being a daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother. Teresa's music sounds sad, sincere and familiar. Her music will always remind me of my mom. It represents her life and her desires. We will miss her. May she rest in peace.
