In memory of

Yuet-Cheng "Katherine" Yap-Lim

April 18, 1954 -  December 14, 2020

Gone too soon and loved by many, Yuet-Cheng (Katherine) Yap, age 66, passed away peacefully at home in the comfort of loved ones after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have been broken, Katherine stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Katherine was a loving wife to Stanley, a devoted mother to her three children, Adrian (Deepa), Cheryl (Allen) and Gerald (Fareeza). She constantly put the needs of her family before her own. Katherine is also a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren, Tristan, Ayva, Kara, Kinnon and Karlee. Her family meant the world to her.

Her family and friends will remember her as a dedicated, hardworking, strong-willed fighter. She worked right to the every end. She was a kind soul, patient, a role model to her children.
Katherine’s family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all the special caregivers that tenderly cared for her during her final years.

Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will be held on Thursday, December 17th, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada or Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills.
